These upgrades can help strengthen homes and improve resilience against severe weather, and may help homeowners qualify for insurance savings depending on their insurer and policy.

Loan Timing
Once you submit the application, Southwest Louisiana Credit Union will contact you within 3 business days regarding your application and next steps.
If approved, closing may be completed in 30 days or less, subject to receipt of required documentation and completion of lending requirements.
Applications and final approval are subject to SWLACU membership, underwriting, and documentation requirements.

Southwest Louisiana Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative. To apply for a Fortified Roof loan, you must qualify for SWLACU membership and meet applicable lending requirements. Membership eligibility includes individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Cameron, Calcasieu, Beauregard, or Evangeline Parish, subject to SWLACU’s current membership policies.
