SOUTHWEST Louisiana Credit Union was first formed in September of 1952 as Columbia-Southern Credit Union a few years later the name was changed to  PPG Employees Credit Union and stayed with that name until April 15, 2004. This credit union was formed for a single purpose: to help members out financially through low rate loans and good dividend paying savings accounts. To accomplish this we had these objectives. Encourage thrift among the members. Remember there has to be a dollar saved before a dollar can be borrowed. Make member loans at reasonable rates of interest. Pay a fair rate of return on member savings, and provide helpful member financial services. This all holds true today.
