It is never to early to learn how to save money. Open a child or grandchild's account and help them learn to save.
Your credit union has set up a club for minors called the "Mud Bug Club" we are continually having contest and drawings for the minors in the Mud Bug Club to show them saving is a good thing.
A regular minor account can be opened with as little as $25.00 plus the $5.00 membership fee. The account must maintain a minimum average daily balance of $200.00 to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. Once a child is in the Mud Bug Club they are eligible for any and all contest, and/or drawings that the credit union has for them. The Report Card reward contest held annually, the world's largest Christmas Stocking give away, etc.
Dividends are accured monthly. Dividends compounded and paid quarterly. Dividends are calculated on the Average Daily Balance. The Board of Directors sets the rates. SEE RATES. |
