"FREE" VISA (debit) Check cards now available to all members**. **subject to approval. Southwest Louisiana Credit Union is proud to offer to its members VISA (debit)Check Cards. There is no charge to our members if you have a share draft checking account. All VISA (debit) Check Cards are subject to approval. *Some members will only qualify for ATM cards. The VISA (debit) Check Card works as an ATM card when you use your PIN# at an ATM machine. You can use this card at any ATM that accepts the "Pulse" and "VISA" Network. The VISA (debit) Check Card can also be used at any store that accepts VISA. It eliminates the need to carry a checkbook or a lot of cash everywhere you go. The VISA (debit) Check Card can be used to make purchases over the internet. VISA Check Card purchase transactions will be immediately taken from your share draft checking account in the form of frozen funds until the transaction clears through the merchant's computer transmission, which could be as quick as a couple of minutes in most cases. REMEMBER, when making a point of sale purchase, if you choose a DEBIT transaction, you will be required to enter your PIN#. However, if you choose a CREDIT transaction, your signature will be required, you have a signed receipt of your transaction, and no PIN# to remember (preferred option).
